Here are some sources I found that I thought were very interesting but are not directly related to FYC. I also thought I would list some of my favorite books here (you know, just for fun).
"‘Dear Diary’: The Power of The Unique Literary Genre" by Life of Becky
This is a really cool blog post that describes the act of dairy entries as being a literary genre and how that genre has changed over time, going all the way back to Ancient Rome. If you are interested in more blog posts about literature, I definitely recommend checking the Life of Becky blog.
Slave Life in Georgia by John Brown
I read this in undergrad for a literature class and really enjoyed it. I mentioned the analysis I did here, but this book is filled with beautiful religious symbolism, and I highly recommend.
Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
I thought I would slip this book in here somehow because it is my favorite book of all time. Follow four retirees solve a murder in their retirement home.
